Story of Tiger
The story of Tiger began when a young white tabby with stunning blue eyes, named Tiger, was born in behind a bush on the streets in Montclaire, California, USA.
For the first 6 months of her young life, she had to grow up fast, learning the ways to hunt and defend herself against other cats, dogs, and other animals. Food does not come easy for Tiger, being 6 month old, alone, and small in size...the tough, and the lucky ones might survive, against all odds...
As the spring comes, more kittens were born into the California suburban neighborhoods...competition for food grew fierce.
Despite its tireless effort, even forces of nature has failed to balance the unchecked feral cat populations, even with starvation and disease, as it can never outmatch the increasing rate of abandoned animals as the by-product of the human society.
The first time Tiger realize that there are more than one way of life, was when she noticed these 2 cats staring at her from inside the windows in a humans home. She befriended
them...so she often stop by the window to visit them...then they have introduced her to their humans. From the outside, she looked into the window, looked into the life that could have been hers...she watched as the humans groomed her friends' hair with brush, filled their bowls with food, and cared for them with love.
As she watched this life that was not hers, little did she know, that her own life was about change...
Before she knew what was happening to her, Tiger grew more tired each day as her stomach drops lower towards the ground...it was getting harder for her to fight for food...after another fight, After another fight, she now had to carry her weight with a limp.
Even though she had never been a mother before, her instinct to protect her unborn babies drove her to go to the humans' home. She stopped by the windows and the cats and the humans immediately gave her food, clean water, and a shelter. Only 2 day after she rested and gotten some food in her stomach, Tiger gave birth to 5 healthy babies...all of them survived. Now Tiger and her babies lives in a foster home... She will nurse for another month, before her and her 5 babies gets spayed & neutered.
Born on the streets and grew up in the feral cat colony, Tiger does not fully understand the human world...Will she be adopted into a family? Will she be able to adapt to the life with humans? Or will she go back to streets after the surgery?
Tiger is unsure of her own future...
However, the future of her kittens will be different...They were born in the the care of humans, and they will trust the humans, and get adopted into the humans homes...
Just like Tiger's friends from the window. They will always have a roof over their head, they will always have food, and they will always live without fear and doubts.
